Multi-Link is a one-stop shop for telecom and computing services for Denver metro area small businesses. Due to rapid expansion, we have an immediate opening for a Senior Network/VoIP Engineer who is responsible for the administration and maintenance of Multi-Link’s VoIP network.
Multi-Link is a provider of a broad range of Telecom and Computing services to 4,000 micro businesses in the Denver Metropolitan area. Operating under two brands (Multi-Link and Liberty Bell Telecom) our services include:
- Broadband Internet Access
- Digital and Analog Phone Lines (Including Directory Listings, Long Distance Service etc)
- Voice Mail and complex call routing
- Web and Email Hosting
- Automated Off-Site Data Backup
- 24/7/365 Hourly Paid Computing Support
Job Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities include: administering Asterisk based VoIP network components including but not limited to routers, proxies, media gateways, hosted VoIP stacks, firewalls and database servers. Other responsibilities include assistance in administering the existing Microsoft based LAN. This role will work under the supervision of the Director of Networks in a collaborative environment. Relevant background could be as a VoIP developer or as a network engineer working in an operations capacity. This position requires both network engineering and development skill sets.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- VoIP Administration and Troubleshooting
- High-Level Linux working knowledge, to include:
- OS Administration
- Firewall configure and administration
- E-mail and Web
- Expert level in LAN/WAN technologies to include:
- Broadband solutions (DSL, T1, DS3)
- Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet
- Routers
- Switches
- Security measures
- Protocol Familiarity:
- TCP/IP
- ATM
- SIP
- SS7
- RADIUS
- DNS
- IP Telephony
- End user equipment such as DSL Routers, IAD, IP Phones
Expertise in the following areas desirable not required:
- Asterisk Implementation and Administration
- Virtualization using Linux
- Windows Networking
- Domain Controllers
- Exchange Server
- Active Directory
Desired Certifications:
- dCAP – Digium-Certified Asterisk Professional
- RHCE – Red Hat Certified Engineer or equivalent
- CCNP – Cisco Certified Network Professional
- MCSE – Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
